CATHOLIC HOMESCHOOLERS OF REGINA IN SERVICE TOGETHER MANDATE

Catholic Homeschoolers of Regina is a group dedicated to the support and service of:

  1. Catholic Homeschooling Families
  2. Education of the Faith in all Homes
  3. Practicing and Spreading the Feasts and Devotions of our Church
  4. Evangelization of our Community through Service

Our motto is "In Service Together" with Christ as our head.

All service is for the education of our children, the building up of our Church and most of all for the love of Christ. We uphold the teachings of the Holy Roman Catholic Church. We support our Holy Father, the Pope. We pray for vocations and believe in putting our faith and families into action.

Our Patron Saint is St. Angela Merici who encouraged families to teach their children the Faith in their own homes. St. Angela is the foundress of the first teaching order of women religious and is, "Protectress of the Faith." Her feast day is January, 27.

Our group is founded upon the words of our Holy Father, Pope John Paul ll (Familiaris Consortio) and Holy Scripture:

"...parents must be acknowleged as the first and foremost educators of their children."

"...the right of parents to choose an education in conformity with their religious faith must be absolutely guaranteed."

"...the parents have been appointed by God himself as the first and principal educators of their children and their right is completely inalienable."

"Therefore, encourage one another and build up one another, as you are doing now."
